Dear Friends of the Patrick Joyce Memorial Fund,
We hope this message finds you well after a relaxing and enjoyable summer and in the throes of a productive and exciting September for you and your family.
It is really hard to believe that this October 2 marks five years since Pat suddenly and tragically was taken away from us. We hold these events yearly to remember a man that truly gave of himself so selfishly and effortlessly. We pray that Pat continues to guide us and strengthen us as we continue to live life in the manner in which he did; as a gentle soul with the profound amount of courage, strength and love...
We are so pleased and humble to report that through the support and generosity of so many of you, the Patrick Joyce Memorial Fund has helped countless children and families in need of assistance, or in some cases, bestow a once -in-a-lifetime opportunity that would not have otherwise been presented for a family faced with crisis. There have also been multiple projects that have been funded or enhanced through the generosity of the Patrick Joyce Memorial Fund. These projects have benefited the education, enrichments, and enjoyment of many children.
In the spirit of "Living His Legacy”, we are comfortable in what has been accomplished in a relatively short amount of time through the Patrick Joyce Memorial Fund and its supporters.
As you all know we changed the format last year to accommodate both kids and adults with two separate events. The feedback was very positive with adults enjoying a Night Out in the City and the kids ( and adults) enjoying a getaway to Great Wolf .
The first event will be an evening for adults. "A Celebration of Life". Please join us in celebrating Pat's life the way in which he love to celebrate, drinking good wine at with good food and good company. On Friday, October 17th you are invited to share im an evening to honor and celebrate Pat and his compelling life. We'll enjoy open bar, hors d'oeuvres, live music and good company at latitude - one of Pat's establishments on 8th Ave. between 47th and 48th St. from 7 PM to 11 PM $45 per person at the door.
Pat enjoyed nothing more than to enjoy a nice bottle of wine and a few drinks (and of course the occasional cigarette, then you knew it was going to be "late night but a great night". We can still see Pat holding a cigarette in one hand and a drink in the other and that smile and smirk would light up the room... The silly things you miss...)
The second is a family-friendly event at Great Wolf Lodge in the Poconos, PA.
As nothing made Pat happier than to see a child smile and hear their laughter. It only seems fitting to hold an event in which the kids could be the center of attention. Bring your families and bathing suits for an overnight good time at this indoor water park. The Patrick Joyce Memorial Fund has secured a special rate of $239 for a limited amount of family suite rooms on 12/19/2014, so please act promptly on this to ensure your room and rates. Great Wolf sold out last year and we are unable to get any more rooms at this discounted rates please don't wait. We are only able to secure 70 rooms...What a great way to celebrate Pat and Christmas...
For those of you who have not had the opportunity to visit great wolf lodge during December it is a Magical experience ; the whole lodge is turned into a winter wonderland !
With that said, the Joyce family and the Patrick Joyce Memorial Fund committee hope to see you one or both of our upcoming events. Please visit us on Facebook and give us your feedback, we like to hear what you think. If you plan to attend either or both of these events please let us know!
We are looking forward to seeing everyone to remember Pat and what his life was about.

The Patrick Joyce Memorial Fund was created by the family and friends of firefighter Patrick Joyce Jr. to serve as a foundation that is committed to preserving his legacy of philanthropy, kindness and generosity.
The primary mission of the fund is to provide financial support to those in need. Pat's goal was always to make a positive difference in the lives of the less fortunate. It is our hope that through these efforts the selfless and generous spirit that Pat possessed will continue to live on..
Success has nothing to do with what you gain in life or accomplish for yourself. It is what you do for others.
